NUI GALWAY’S COVID SURVEY RESULTS REVEALED AT ‘RESPOND 2022’

Jul 15, 2022 | Nationwide News

The results of a survey to investigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on both the Community First Responder (CFR) groups and schemes around the country will be presented at ‘RESPOND 2022’, organised by CFR Ireland on Saturday 17 September.

Over 340 CFRs around the country submitted their detailed responses to the survey, which was undertaken by a research team at NUI Galway. The full results and analysis will be presented at this year’s conference, which returns to the Mullingar Park Hotel, Co. Westmeath, after a three-year absence due to the pandemic.

“Many positive comments underscored the importance and value of Community First Response schemes, as well as insights into the level of the support required by these schemes following the pandemic,” noted research project team leaders Dr Eithne Heffernan and Dr Siobhán Masterson.
