MEATH TO HOST CHIEF FIRE OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 65th Annual Chief Fire Officers’ Association Conference, which will take place on 8-9 May in Trim, Co. Meath, will be opened by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien, alongside Meath County Council Cathaoirlech Tommy Reilly and Chief Executive Meath Kieran Kehoe.

The 2024 conference theme is ‘Igniting the Future; Cultivating Sustainable Transformation in the Fire Services’ and will bring together speakers from Ireland, the UK, USA, Finland and Slovenia, all from within and outside the fire service community to share their expert views.

Included on the panel of speakers will be Ireland’s entrepreneur Gavin Duffy, who will address ‘Communicating Effectively for Progressive Emergency Services’, while former Meath Manager and herbalist Sean Boylan will present on ‘Leadership that Inspires’ at the conference.

Over 400 delegates and trade representatives are expected to attend the two-day event at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, which will include a large trade exhibition both indoors and outdoors showcasing a range of products and services relevant to the fire services, including new fire appliances and other fleets.
