The European Critical Incident Stress Management (E-CISM) Network will host a webinar entitled ‘Suicide – A Conversation We Must Have’ on Friday 24 October.
The webinar will be presented by Oliver Barbour, a former member of the Defence Forces and a psychotherapist with a special interest in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Oliver is also a member of the E-CISM Board.
According to E-CISM, every suicide is a tragedy, but also preventable. “This webinar will explore the key facts, common myths, and how we can make a difference together. We will focus on workplace guidance, shifting perspectives, and building understanding,” it says.

Date for Diary: The E-CISM Network Conference will take place in Rome on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March 2026 with a pre-conference event on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 March 2026.
