Dublin City University (DCU) Business School is conducting research on how organisations may support employees to strengthen the level of preparedness in their workplace and household in the event of an emergency. The survey is now open to individuals who may wish to take part.
EU guidance dictates that individuals should be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours in the event of an emergency. This research by DCU Business School will examine the feasibility of Irish workplaces supporting initiatives that promote individual and household emergency preparedness.
If you hold a leadership or people-focused role in the areas of Resilience & Security, Human Resources & People Operations, Health & Safety, Learning & Development, or Communications, Prof Caroline McMullan, Professor of Business & Society at DCU Business School, and her team would like to get some feedback and perspectives on workplace-based initiatives for emergency readiness.
The survey is being conducted as part of a MA dissertation in Emergency Management at DCU Business School. The questionnaire, which should take less than 10 minutes to complete, does not require individuals to give their names or any other information that may identify them or their organisations, and they will completely remain anonymous.
