‘999 EMS RESEARCH FORUM’ ANNUAL CONFERENCE GETS SET FOR CAMBRIDGE

Registration is now open for the 999 EMS Research Forum Conference – ‘999 EMS Research: Recognising Progress, Developing the Future’ – which will take place at the Clayton Hotel in Cambridge on Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 September.

The conference will be held in association with the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST), the National Ambulance Research Steering Group (NARSG) and PRIME Centre Wales.

The programme will include:

  • Workshops with options for early career researchers
  • Refreshments and networking opportunities plus a ticketed conference dinner
  • Keynote presentations
  • Peer-reviewed oral presentations
  • Peer-reviewed rapid elevator pitches
  • International prize-winning presentations
  • Moderated/open poster sessions

Research Forum Background: The 999 EMS Research Forum is a UK-based partnership that brings together academics and health-care providers with a research interest in emergency care. Since it was first established in 1997, it has been actively promoting emergency care research. Board members come from a range of specialities and backgrounds and include paramedics and academics.

Aims of the Forum:

  • To encourage, promote and disseminate research and evidence-based policy and practice in 999 healthcare.
  • To develop links between emergency healthcare practitioners and the research community.
  • To run an annual research conference providing an opportunity to disseminate research and run workshops to build research capacity.
  • To continue developing international collaborations in prehospital care research.

Registration is now open.

The conference workshops will take place on Day 1 (Tuesday 17 September) with the main conference taking place on Day 2 (Wednesday 18 September)
